Litter-Robot: How much litter do I put in the Litter-Robot?

Fill the globe with approximately 4.5kg of litter, which should fill to the raised "fill line" on the black rubber globe liner when spread flat, depending on the density or particle size of your clay clumping litter. If you have very dense or fine particle litter, you should not fill to the line, to avoid overweighting the Robot. Too much weight in the Robot will cause cycle interruption and flashing yellow and/or red lights.

If you fill over the line, the excess litter will be dumped into the waste drawer during the first few cycles.

Once you have filled with the appropriate amount of litter, with a solid blue light showing, press RESET once to calibrate the cat sensor.  The blue light will blink once.

There is no need to add extra litter unless you are emptying the waste drawer, as you can overweight the cat sensor and have cycle issues. The curved base of the globe means there is always a good depth of litter for your cats to use.
